DENTAL IMPLANTS

How are implants different from dentures?

Implants are fixed, permanent teeth that function like your natural ones. Unlike dentures, they don’t shift, require no adhesives, and help preserve your jawbone and facial structure.

What’s the success rate of dental implants?

When placed by a skilled provider like Dr. Saluja, implants have a success rate of 95–98%. We use 3D imaging and precise planning to maximize long-term results.

Can I get implants if I have bone loss?

Yes. We offer bone grafting to rebuild your jawbone when needed. In some cases, implants can even be placed the same day as grafting, depending on your anatomy.

Am I too old for dental implants?

Age isn’t a barrier. Many of our implant patients are in their 60s, 70s, or beyond. If you’re healthy and have sufficient bone (or are open to grafting), implants can dramatically improve your quality of life.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. The crown may need replacement after 15–20 years, but the implant post itself is designed for long-term stability.

Does dental implant surgery hurt?

No, most patients report minimal discomfort. We use local anesthesia and offer IV sedation for a relaxed, stress-free experience. Post-op soreness is typically mild and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.

How much do dental implants cost in Clinton Township, MI?

Implant costs vary based on how many teeth you're replacing, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of restoration. At your free consultation, we’ll provide a detailed estimate and explain your insurance and financing options.

What hurts more, a bridge or an implant?

The discomfort experienced during the placement of a bridge or an implant can vary depending on the individual's pain tolerance and the complexity of the procedure. Generally, implant surgery might involve more discomfort initially because it involves surgery to insert the implants into the jawbone. Local anesthesia and sedation options can make the process pain-free during the procedure, with post-operative discomfort typically managed with pain medication. Traditional bridges, on the other hand, tend to involve less discomfort since they usually require only the preparation of adjacent teeth, unless the bridge is implant-supported.

Both procedures, when managed with proper anesthesia and post-operative care, should not cause significant pain. The choice between an implant and a bridge should be based on a thorough evaluation of the patient's dental health, bone structure, and specific needs, guided by the expertise of their dentist.

Why does a doctor prefer a bridge over an implant?

A dentist might prefer a bridge over individual implants for several reasons:

  • Cost-effectiveness: Bridges can be more cost-effective than multiple individual implants when several adjacent teeth are missing.
  • Surgical considerations: Patients with insufficient bone density or who are unwilling to undergo bone grafts might be better candidates for bridges.
  • Treatment time: The process for completing a bridge, even one supported by implants, can be shorter than placing multiple individual implants, especially if bone grafting or other preparatory procedures are not required.
How many teeth can be on an implant bridge?

Implant-supported bridges are designed to be a long-term solution and can last for many years with proper care. The lifespan of a bridge implant can vary based on factors such as the material used, the patient's oral hygiene, and regular dental check-ups. Typically, the implants themselves can last a lifetime, while the bridge component might need replacement due to wear after about 10 to 15 years.

What is a dental implant bridge?

A dental implant bridge is a type of dental restoration used to replace multiple missing teeth. Unlike traditional bridges that rely on adjacent natural teeth for support, an implant-supported bridge uses dental implants as the foundation. This method involves placing implants in the jawbone, which serve as anchors for the bridge. The bridge itself consists of a series of connected crowns that span the gap of the missing teeth, providing a functional and aesthetic replacement.

The Denture Eliminator

How much does the Denture Eliminator Protocol cost?

Cost depends on your specific needs, the number of implants, and the type of final restoration. During your free consultation, you will receive a clear, personalized estimate with no surprises. Our office accepts many insurance plans and offers flexible financing to help make a permanent, implant-supported smile more affordable.

How long do Denture Eliminator implants last?

With good home care and routine checkups, the implant posts are designed to last a lifetime. The attached zirconia bridge may need replacement after many years of normal wear, but most patients enjoy decades of strong, stable function from their Denture Eliminator smile.

How do I care for my new teeth after the Denture Eliminator Protocol?

You care for your new teeth much like natural teeth. You will brush every day and clean around and under the bridge as we show you. Our team will walk you through a simple routine, including any special tools such as a water flosser or small brushes, and we will see you regularly to keep your implants and gums healthy.

What are the benefits of the Denture Eliminator compared to dentures?

The Denture Eliminator Protocol gives you fixed teeth that stay in place and do not rely on suction or adhesives. You regain strong bite force, protect your jawbone, and avoid the bulk and movement of a traditional denture. Many patients say their new teeth feel more natural and help them eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Am I a candidate for the Denture Eliminator Protocol?

You may be a good candidate if you are missing most or all of your teeth, wear dentures that slip or feel loose, need many teeth removed, or want a fixed, long-term solution instead of a removable plate. Even if you have been told you have bone loss, angled implant placement may still allow you to move forward without bone grafting.

What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-6 with the Denture Eliminator?

The main difference is the number of implants and how they are positioned. All-on-4 uses four implants, with two placed at an angle to make the best use of your existing bone. All-on-6 uses six implants placed more vertically for added support and force distribution. During your consultation, Dr. Saluja will review your bone, bite, and goals to decide which option is best for your Denture Eliminator treatment.

Does the Denture Eliminator procedure hurt?

Most patients feel less discomfort than they expect. IV sedation helps you relax and rest through the procedure, and Dr. Saluja uses careful, minimally invasive techniques. Some soreness afterward is normal but is usually mild and can be managed with medication and simple home care.

Will I have teeth the same day as surgery?

In most cases, yes. As part of the Denture Eliminator Protocol, we can place a temporary fixed bridge on the day of surgery or very soon after. You leave our Clinton Township office with a complete smile, not gaps.

How long does the Denture Eliminator process take?

Many patients receive implants and a first set of fixed healing teeth in one day or within 24 hours. Your final zirconia teeth are usually placed three to six months later, once the implants have fully healed. Your exact timeline is customized to your needs and your healing.

How is the Denture Eliminator different from regular All-on-X?

All-on-X describes a full arch of teeth supported by four to six implants. The Denture Eliminator Protocol is Dr. Saluja’s customized version of All-on-X. It uses advanced digital planning, IV sedation, and a step-by-step process to deliver a stable, natural-looking smile, often in as little as 24 hours.

What is the Denture Eliminator Protocol?

The Denture Eliminator Protocol is our full-arch implant system that replaces failing or missing teeth with a fixed set of teeth supported by dental implants. It is designed to permanently replace removable dentures, restore strong chewing, and give you a smile that looks and feels like natural teeth.

Snap and Go Dentures

Does insurance cover this treatment?

Many dental insurance plans offer partial coverage for dentures and sometimes implant placement. We accept most major insurance providers and will help you maximize your benefits. We also offer flexible financing options to make treatment accessible.

Will they look natural?

Yes. We custom-design your Snap and Go Dentures to match your facial features, smile goals, and skin tone. Our goal is a seamless, natural-looking result that helps you feel like yourself again — or better.

Are Snap and Go Dentures easy to clean?

Absolutely. Simply remove them daily to brush and rinse, and gently clean around your implant attachments. No special adhesives or soaking solutions are required, making your routine simpler and more effective.

How long does the treatment take?

From implant placement to receiving your final dentures, the process typically takes 4 to 6 months to allow for proper healing and implant integration. Temporary dentures can be provided during healing so you never go without teeth.

Can I eat normally with Snap and Go Dentures?

Yes! You’ll enjoy a more secure, powerful bite than with traditional dentures. While you’ll start with soft foods during healing, most patients are able to return to eating steak, apples, and salads with confidence once the implants fully integrate.

Will the procedure hurt?

Implant placement is a minor surgical procedure, and we offer IV sedation for maximum comfort. Most patients experience only mild soreness afterward and are surprised by how easy the recovery is. Our team provides clear aftercare instructions and is available if you need support during healing.

How many implants will I need?

Most patients need two to four implants per arch (upper or lower) to support Snap and Go Dentures. The exact number depends on your anatomy, bite strength, and goals. Dr. Saluja will recommend the ideal configuration during your personalized consultation.

How are Snap and Go Dentures different from regular dentures?

Snap and Go Dentures attach to dental implants instead of resting on your gums. This gives you greater stability, improved comfort, better chewing power, and no need for adhesives. They also help prevent bone loss, unlike traditional dentures.

Am I a candidate for Snap and Go Dentures?

Most patients who are missing multiple teeth or frustrated with traditional dentures are candidates for Snap and Go Dentures. If you have adequate bone for implant placement or are open to bone grafting, this treatment could be a great fit. Dr. Saluja will use advanced CBCT imaging to evaluate your bone structure and help you decide.

How much do Snap and Go Dentures cost?

The cost depends on factors like the number of implants needed, whether extractions or bone grafting are required, and the type of denture materials used. During your consultation, we’ll provide a clear, personalized treatment plan with transparent pricing and discuss your insurance and financing options.

Sedation Dentistry

Can my children be sedated for their appointment?

As with adults, Dr. Saluja will check the patient’s age and medical history to make sure sedation is safe to use. Inform Dr. Saluja of any health conditions or concerns you have about your child that may put their safety or health at risk.

Can anyone use sedation for their appointments?

As with any medication, Dr. Saluja will take a careful look at your medical history to check that no other medications or health issues could put your safety at risk. If you have allergies to the sedative, suffer from sleep apnea, or have other dangerous health conditions, it may not be safe to use sedation.

Can I drive after my appointment?

For most sedation types, you will need someone to drive you home. It can take time for the sedatives to wear off, though there shouldn’t be any lasting side effects.

Will I be completely unconscious?

No, most sedation techniques keep you awake but relaxed. You’ll be able to respond to our team’s requests to turn your head, open your mouth, and more.

Is sedation dentistry safe?

Absolutely. Dr. Saluja is extensively trained in sedation techniques, ensuring your safety and comfort.

Veneers

What if I have gum disease or cavities?

We’ll treat any underlying oral health issues before placing veneers. A healthy foundation is essential for long-lasting cosmetic results.

Am I a good candidate for veneers?

If your teeth and gums are healthy and you want to improve the appearance of your smile, you’re likely a great candidate. Schedule a consultation to find out.

How do I care for my veneers?

Brush and floss like normal, avoid using your teeth as tools, and wear a nightguard if you grind your teeth. We’ll give you custom instructions for long-term care.

Do veneers stain like natural teeth?

No. High-quality veneers resist staining from coffee, wine, and everyday use, keeping your smile bright with minimal upkeep.

Are no-prep veneers right for me?

No-prep veneers like Lumineers are great for minor cosmetic improvements and minimal tooth alteration. Dr. Saluja will evaluate your case to see if you’re a candidate.

Will getting veneers hurt?

Most patients experience little to no discomfort. We use local anesthetic and gentle techniques, plus IV sedation is available if you need extra peace of mind.

Can veneers fix crooked teeth?

Veneers can correct the appearance of slightly crooked or uneven teeth without braces. For more complex alignment issues, we may recommend Invisalign first.

What’s the difference between porcelain and EMAX veneers?

Porcelain veneers offer exceptional translucency for a natural look. EMAX veneers are thinner and incredibly strong, often with less prep needed. Dr. Saluja will recommend the best option for your smile.

How much do veneers cost?

Veneer pricing depends on the number of teeth treated and the materials used. We’ll provide a clear, personalized quote during your consultation, with financing options to fit your budget.

How long do veneers last?

With proper care, porcelain and EMAX veneers typically last 10–15 years or more. Avoid biting hard objects and visit us regularly to keep your smile in great shape.

Teeth Withening

How long will the results last?

With proper care, your results can last 6 months to 2 years. Avoiding staining foods and practicing good oral hygiene helps extend the effects.

Can I whiten my teeth if I have fillings or crowns?

Whitening doesn’t affect restorations like fillings or crowns. We’ll assess your current dental work and may recommend alternatives to achieve an even shade.

Will it make my teeth sensitive?

Some patients experience mild, temporary sensitivity. We take steps to minimize this and adjust your treatment if needed.

Is whitening safe for my enamel?

Yes. Our whitening gel is specially formulated to be gentle on enamel and is administered under professional supervision.

How long does in-office whitening take?

Our Zoom! whitening treatment takes about one hour and can brighten your smile by several shades in a single visit.

Will these teeth whitening methods damage my teeth?

The only teeth whitening methods we offer are certified to be safe and effective. Whether you use our professional, in-office whitening system or one of our take-home kits, your teeth will be safe. We advise you to stay away from DIY tips or “hacks” that may appear online for teeth whitening: these can cause permanent damage!

Can I whiten my crowns and other fake teeth?

Whitening is more effective on natural teeth than on restorations. If you have any crowns or other fake teeth, it’s unlikely that the whitening treatments will alter their appearance.

Is teeth whitening painful?

No. During the treatment, you may experience some discomfort as the whitening tools are maneuvered around your mouth, but it isn’t painful. Some may experience temporary sensitivity after the treatment, which typically subsides. If you experience sensitivity after your treatment, we recommend avoiding hot or cold foods for the first day or two after the treatment.

Will whitening work on all types of discoloration?

Whitening treatments work best on yellowing than on gray or darkened teeth, or teeth that have discolored due to medication. Surface stains are simple to treat with our whitening systems.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Results can last several months, depending on lifestyle and oral hygiene.

Emergency Dentistry

Do you accept insurance?

We accept most major dental plans and offer flexible payment options. We’ll help you understand your benefits and make treatment manageable.

What if I’m anxious about dental care?

We get it. Many emergency patients haven’t seen a dentist in years. Our judgment-free team makes you feel safe, supported, and calm, with sedation available when needed.

Can I be seen today?

Yes, we reserve time each day for dental emergencies. Call early, and we’ll do everything we can to see you the same day.

How much will treatment cost?

Emergency exams are just $39 for new patients. If additional treatment is needed, we’ll walk you through your options and costs before proceeding.

Is this a dental emergency, or can it wait?

If you’re in pain, swollen, bleeding, or have lost or damaged a tooth or restoration, call us right away. We’ll help you decide whether immediate care is needed.

How much does IV sedation cost?

Costs vary depending on the length and complexity of your procedure. We'll review pricing and financing options during your consultation.

Can I eat or drink before my visit?

You’ll need to fast for at least 6 hours before your appointment, including water. We’ll give you full instructions ahead of time.

Will I be unconscious?

No. You’ll be in a deeply relaxed “twilight” state, but still conscious and able to respond. Most patients remember little to nothing about the procedure.

How long does it take to wear off?

Sedation effects begin to fade after the procedure, but you’ll feel drowsy for several hours. Plan to rest the rest of the day.

Is IV sedation safe?

Yes. IV sedation is extremely safe when administered by trained professionals. We monitor you closely during your visit and review your health history beforehand to ensure it’s the right fit.
